The SpeakOut Ambassador Program is a selective leadership and advocacy initiative designed to identify, train and empower passionate young people to champion mental health awareness across schools, campuses, workplaces and communities.
SpeakOut Ambassadors serve as credible representatives of SpeakOut Mental Health Outreach. They lead awareness, reduce stigma, support outreach campaigns and help people access appropriate mental health resources.

The program is open to individuals who are passionate about mental health advocacy, service and responsible leadership.
Ambassador status is not automatic. Every applicant must complete the official application process and receive approval from SpeakOut.
Interested candidates complete the official SpeakOut Ambassador Google Form. Applications are reviewed based on motivation, leadership potential, communication skills and commitment to service.
The SpeakOut team reviews applications and shortlists candidates who meet the program requirements. Not all applicants proceed to interview.
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted and booked for a virtual or physical interview with the NGO team.
Only successful applicants who pass interview and onboarding are approved as SpeakOut Ambassadors and allowed to print certificates.
Successful candidates participate in the official Ambassador Orientation Program before receiving final confirmation.
SpeakOut Ambassadors are expected to uphold the values, policies and standards of SpeakOut Mental Health Outreach.
Represent SpeakOut professionally at events, schools, campuses, community programs and online platforms.
Promote positive mental health education and reduce stigma through approved campaigns and resources.
Support SpeakOut campaigns, outreach events, school programs and community initiatives.
Submit activity reports, campaign updates and impact records when required.
Respect privacy and follow safeguarding rules when interacting with vulnerable individuals or communities.
Guide people to appropriate support channels without diagnosing, treating or making unsafe promises.
The program gives ambassadors practical experience, leadership exposure and recognition for meaningful service.
All ambassadors must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, respect, confidentiality and responsible conduct online and offline.
Yes. There is no application fee.
Yes, but certificates are issued only to applicants who pass the recruitment, interview and onboarding process.
The Ambassador Program is primarily voluntary. Ambassadors may receive recognition, awards, stipends or sponsored opportunities for specific approved projects where applicable.
Yes. Applications are open to eligible individuals across Nigeria and beyond.
